As insurance professionals, we all understand better than most that the cost of care is the
true issue when addressing healthcare reform.
Insurance premiums, consisting of 80-95% medical claim costs, are tied directly to the cost
of care and are now virtually unaffordable for much of the the middle class and are quickly
becoming unaffordable for most small and medium size business.
Taking on the Untouchables of Healthcare Reform will be:
• Bart McMullan, MD...recent past President and CEO of Regence BCBSO
• Nancy Ellison - Government Affairs Director of the Northwest for United Healthcare
• Barbara Christensen -Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Providence Health Plans
• James Patterson, MD - specialty physician for The Oregon Clinic
